Can I Learn To Dance?
Dancing is as easy as walking when taught by a Colorado Dancesport expert. Our oldest pupil is over 70 years old, our youngest is 5 years old.
Will It Take Long?
How long it takes depends entirely on you. Factors to consider are how often
you dance, how many dances you wish to learn, and how proficient you would
like to become in each dance. The average person can feel comfortable dancing
socially in 6 months to a year, but anyone can master a basic step in as little
as 6 hours.
Will My Instruction Be Private or In a Class?
Private, semiprivate, group and practice parties are available for you to
choose from. Group instruction is the least expensive but commonly the most
frustrating to the student. One-on-one instruction is by far the most effective
mode of learning. In this format you can have all the instruction personally
tailored to your learning style and dancing desires.
Is Your System of Teaching Difficult?
We teach four simple basic movements, from which all new combinations are
derived. We also employ the syllabus from the Imperial Society of Teachers
of Dance, a worldwide organization dedicated to quality teaching of dance.
This ensures what you learn is taught the same throughout the world.
What Is Your Lowest Priced Course?
Courses can be as low as $10 a week.
Does the Fee Have to Be Paid in Advance?
The level of investment will show in the quality of your dancing and help
to keep you focused on your goals. Advanced payment helps to accomplish this
for you.
Will I Learn the Latest Steps?
You learn the very latest steps in all the ballroom, country western, salsa,
and swing dances. And what is more important, you will learn the latest dance
techniques from our highly ranked, internationally renowned coaches.
Will I Have to Return Yearly to Learn the Latest Steps?
After getting a good foundation, you will be able to analyze the new steps
and pick them up with little difficulty.
When Can I Take Lessons?
You may take your lessons at any time you like. The studio is open from 11:00
a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturdays.
Will I Have a Good Teacher?
Our teachers are trained in the International techniques of dance instruction
formulated by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. The teachers here
team-teach; your instructors will be selected for you based on the best personality
fit.
Does Dancing Repay Me for the Time and Money Spent?
As a foremost social activity, good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun,
poise, confidence, improved personality, and new friends. It is also an excellent
form of exercise, helping you improve your co-ordination, muscle tone, flexibility,
and stamina.
